There's so much to do to finish out the semester. I know the students and the instructors are all at their wits end, just trying to make it through this last week. But, dangit, those of us in the office are tired, too! I'm ready for everyone to leave, to have the place to myself, to dress in jeans and t-shirts, and start cleaning out closets and cabinets and files. And yet, to get to that wonderful summer, we have to get through students who forgot to register for fall, students who don't have internship sites for summer, seniors who don't have jobs, and of course graduation, finals, and course evaluations. So, I'm excited to get started, and I'm ready to get a lot done, but I'm already tired. *sigh* so much for the excitement.
Speaking of excitement, the sun is shining, the sky is clear, the perennials are up and the shrubs are blooming. I want to step outside and just spin around in the yard... except that it's 38 degrees outside and it snowed yesterday! What?? Beltane is this week... it's not supposed to snow! ;) Luckily, it didn't frost last night, so everything is still ok.
When I first started to explore this path, everyone talked about how the divine had a great sense of humor, and not to take myself too seriously on this path. Now, I'd just like to say, thanks for the reminder!

Whaaaaw?! It is warm there! :)
E*RoccaOh, the weather is a squirrely one! Glad to hear that the pretty things are ok, and no frost. Your garden is always so lovely!
Nice to be reminded to laugh a bit more, make a point to smile when you feel like frowning, and stop to breathe and look around you! Very good to heed the reminder to not take yourself so seriously.
Easy to do...get caught up in the gloominess; keep on the sunny side of life!
